I understand you purchased a television series on the iTunes Store, and you want the next episode in the series to play automatically when you are watching it with your Apple TV (3rd or 4th gen). You can do this by creating a video playlist on your Mac computer, and then using Home Sharing to stream the content from your computer to the Apple TV. I'll include some resources below for iTunes and Home Sharing on your Mac. On your Apple TV, in the Settings menu, change "Show Playlists" to "All" (the default setting is for Music Only.)
iTunes 12 for Mac: Create a playlist
The examples in this resource are for music files, but you would select the video category instead of music.
Use Home Sharing to share iTunes content with other devices
Take care,

Aug 27, 2016 7:07 PM in response to judysingsby bradcongo,Is there any other way to do this? I mean I can't speak for everyone else, but I don't want to have to first go to my iTunes on my MacBook to create a playlist and then stream from that every time I want to watch my tv shows back-to-back. I like just being able to turn on my Apple TV and picking a show and watching it. I just want to be able to hit play and have it continue on to the next episode without constantly going back to the menu. This seems like such an easy fix. Is this something coming in the near future? I honestly can't believe that Apple can't make this happen. It seems like such a natural thing to be able to watch a season of tv shows one right after the other by just hitting play once.
