Try going into settings> FaceTime and turn off FaceTime. Then go to Messages and turn off iMessage.
Turn your phone off then on again.
GO back into FaceTime and activate it again, likewise with iMessage. It should then try to reactivate and your new number should come up (you can see this further down in Send & Receive addresses). You may need to log back into your Apple I.D. when doing this.
