Q: Bootcamp driver update for Windows 10 bad signature

The update of the Bootcamp driver for Windows 10 does not install. Windows' error message says the signature is faulty and deletes the half downloaded file. I tried to update three times but the error occurs every time. What can I do to install the update?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), 32 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 680MX

If W10 was an upgrade from W7/W8.1, I have seen issues with compatibility. Is this the first time you are trying to update the BC drivers package via Apple Software Update?

I am not really sure. I use Boot Camp for a very long time. It could be that there was an update in the past. If so, there was no problem or otherwise I would remember.

Definitely not. I am glad that Windows is running. The Boot Camp update is not that important that I want to have the pain of reinstalling everything. By the way, I found out that the 6.0 Boot Camp update was already installed on 08/15/2015. Why is the driver still on version 5? Weird.

Is it just Bootcamp.exe which is on version 5?
