You really need to give details about your setup (e.g. what mac, which version of OS X and FCP X), and what is the format and specs of the audio files.

You may open one of these files in Quicktime Player, press command-I and post a screenshot.

    Hi

    I have FCPX 10.2 ...

Pl refer to FCPX preferences ... select IMPORT ... Did you have the Audio Analysis options SELECTED ?

I found that by NOT selecting any of the Audio automatic options preferences, my problem similar to yours was fixed.

You will have to re-import your material after you change those settings.

Some Tutorials suggest that it can be done After Import, but it looks rather messy and did not work for me.

    Cheers
