Q: night shift doesn't work

Just updated my iPad 4 to IOS 10.3.  It doesn't have "Night Shift" available on "Display and Brightness".  Also, I see no "Low Power Mode" under battery.  Any ideas as to how to get Night Shift?

    From Apple....

    1. Night Shift is available on iPhone 5s or later, iPad Pro, iPad Air or later, iPad mini 2 or later, and iPod touch (6th generation).

Low power mode is an iPhone only feature.

Night Shift requires 64-bit architecture on the iOS device. The following are not 64-bit devices and are incapable of Night Shift:

    • iPhone 5
    • iPhone 5c
    • iPod touch 5G
    • iPad mini
    • iPad 2
    • iPad 3
    • iPad 4

Low Power mode is not available on any iPad. It is for iPhone only.

ANOTHER reason not to update iPad 2. With all those issues I've read about.

Your iPad 2 is never, EVER going to get any of the new and cool features that newer iPad models will get with every new and recent iOS release.

In fact, what is happening is that older iPads are getting fewer and fewer features from every new iOS since iOS 7.

iOS 9 really doesn't offer much to older iPad users and this is only going to get worse.

Eventually, iOS support for the iPad 2 is going to end.

With only an A5 CPU with 512 GBs of RAM, the iPad 2 is underpowered for many of the new and cool features that keep getting introduced in new iOS upgrades/updates that are really meant for newer iDevice hardware.

So, you can live with that fact or, eventually, make a decision to purchase a new iPad.

For, now, because of all of the roll out issues with iOS 9.3, I am not bothering with it until all of the issues are fixed/solved and I may decide NOT to update my iPad 2 or 3 models because of so little feature updates.

I have a new iPad Pro and I may NOT even update that because of so little features for it. I really could give a flyin' carp about the Night Shift functionality.

That is the only, real tangible feature that my iPad Pro is really only going to get.

    BEEEG deal.

I may just waited out for the next "real" update that will contain more tangible features for my much newer iPad.
