OSX version 10.9.5

Iphoto version 9.5.1 (902.17)

I cannot launch Iphoto, a Problem Report for Iphoto appears after the crash.  I tried holding the command and option key while launching iphoto but it still crashes. I also downloaded iphoto library manager and tried to rebuild the library but still iphoto crashes after launching.  Please hlep.

Please post the first 50 lines or so of the crash log.

Have you tried to launch iPhoto while holding down the options key, until you see the library chooser panel?  If you can get to the library chooser, select to create a new iPhoto Library and test, if iPhoto runs on a different library.  What does happen?

Yes I have tried launching iphoto holding command and option keys but nothing happens . the problem report appears again. Even with the iphoto library manager during the rebuild it tried to access iphoto and the same problem report appears.

Yes I have tried launching iphoto holding command and option keys but nothing happens .

The question was, if iPhoto launches, if you hold down only the options key, not the key combination option-command.  We need to know, if iPhoto is able to run correctly, if you launch it with a different library or if it will not run at all, independent of the library.

have you tried that as well?
