    Hi Bonnie231,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that a book you purchased in iBooks is not downloading as expected. In this situation, I suggest checking in the Purchased section of iBooks to see if you can initiate the download again. This process is described in the following article.

On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    1. Open the iBooks app.
If you're using iBooks 3.2 or earlier, tap Store.
    2. Tap Purchased from the bottom navigation bar.
      iBooks bottom menu purchased button
    3. Tap the Download icon   next to the book that you want to download. The book downloads to your device.

Download your past purchases - Apple Support

    Best!

I try that everyday it just gives me a response which says " you have

already purchased part of this item but it has not been downloaded yet" so

I again press the download icon and I get the same response! I also tried

in iTunes but it doesn't work! Please just give me a refund! I'm tired of

    this!!

Thank you for replying to let us know that these steps are not working. At this point, because you mention the steps not working and wanting a refund, I suggest using the link in the following article to report the issue to the correct Apple department. They will be able to give you the best information on how to move forward.

I was prompted to upgrade to IOS 9.3.1 [13E328] on my iPad and after completing it my epubs and pdfs that I keep stored on my iCloud Drive will no longer open in iBooks.  I can open the document via iCloud but when I ask to Copy to iBooks it will not load.  What happened with the IOS 9.3.1 upgrade to create this problem?  Is there a workaround for iBooks?  I used another ebook reader and the docs open fine.  It's obviously a Drive/iBooks interface issue.  This is why I hate to have to upgrade because the glitches are usually never worked out.
