Q: Deleted photos from my iphoto library and want them to delete from my phone

Hi! I deleted a bunch of photos from iphoto on my computer and I want them to be deleted from my phone too, but when I plug my phone in it wants to re-import all of those photos instead... is there a way to sync so that everything I deleted on my computer will be deleted from my phone? I have a macbook air and an iphone 6. Thanks!

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.1

After you imported the photos from your iPhone using USB you cannot sync the deletions back to the iPhone. You need to delete the photos manually.

If you want to delete the photos from all devices, when you delete Photos on your Mac, you need to enable iCloud Photo LIbrary.

iCloud Photo Library will update any edits or deletions you are doing on one device on all other devices and keep the Photos Libraries on all devices identical.  And if you take a photo with your iPhone, it will automatically appear on your Mac.You need however enough storage in iCloud to hold all your photos.   See this link:   iCloud Photo Library FAQ
