PeripheralsYou can't delete an account. You just stop using it. If you were able to delete it, anything you had bought would be lost to you, similarly with updates.
You could edit your payment means and change to a different card. It is very unlikely Apple is responsible for the attacks on your card. If you feel you have a security problem contact iTunes security.

Apr 7, 2016 7:11 AM in response to ifonlyappleworkedby ChitlinsCC,Think of your Apple ID account like a Credit Card or bank account... it has records that Apple maintains just like those would. A bank would "close" your account, but still have records of your activity. No privacy issues at all.
Your "bombardment" is on your EMAIL account that you just happened to use to create your account. STOP using and checking that email account and get another one = problem solved.

Apr 7, 2016 8:10 AM in response to ChitlinsCCby ifonlyappleworked,e point is:-
I DONT want apple having any of my details
.I am not stupid i unticked all i could straight away, but the damage was done, i am not talking about emails from Apple, my emai address was hacked
I have never bought anything via iTunes, App store, etc i dont have a iPhone, or any other Apple device anymore.
So, I don't see the problem having my details deleted, as it is a legal right of mine, to request any data a company has to delete under the data protection act.
No other company has ever made an issue out my requests, i take my personal .data extremely seriously (I suffered horrendous personal injury from identity theft etc) so i have good solid reason, but the fact remains there are laws for this
I am not satisfied to just stop sing it, the only reason i am using my profile is to get it deleted.
so pray tell whats wrong with that

Apr 7, 2016 8:15 AM in response to ifonlyappleworkedby BobTheFisherman,Just as everything you post here can not be deleted, it will remain available and searchable forever. Whatever you post on or through the Internet remains available. Corporations keep customer records. If you don't want your information to be kept by a corporation have your lawyers take it up with the corporation. If you do not want your data you post online to remain available stop using the Internet. What you have already posted will remain.
There is nothing we users can do with respect to corporate policy.

Classic Mac OSWhile you cannot delete you apple id, you can change all the data to non-sense. You can delete your credit card information.
I would expect Apple to keep a log of all changes. I do not know.
To do more, get a lawyer as suggested above.

Apr 7, 2016 4:52 PM in response to ifonlyappleworkedby babowa,It's a legal requirement - Apple is required to keep records; it would be illegal not to. As suggested, simply change the info to nonsense such as an email address of "name@email.com" (I use that quite often).
And your spam attacks are simply caused by people who stole/hacked into yours or your friend's email contacts - that happens many times daily. That has unfortunately become part of the internet. Close the email account and create a new one.
