Q: Having issues with Apple Watch's  location weather

After installing 9.3.1 my watch keeps thinking its in New York but I live in Grosse Pointe Michigan.  Although it is the same time zone. I have tried un-pairing the watch.  This happened before and un-paird the watch. This time un-pairing did on correct.   The sunrise and sun set feature does not work correctly also.

    Hi Will

    Try these steps:

On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Privacy > Location Services:

    • Check that Location Services is enabled.
    • Check that Apple Watch Faces is set to While Using.
    • Check that Weather is set to Always.

On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Background App Refresh:

    • Check that Background App Refresh is enabled.
    • It may also help to enable the setting for Weather.

Check that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both enabled and that your watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth:

    • Phone: Settings > Bluetooth - on.
    • Phone: Settings > Wi-Fi - on.
    • Watch: when viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on the screen and then left / right to the Settings Glance > check that Airplane Mode is not enabled and that your watch is connected to your iPhone.

I'm having the same problem. First noticed it in the Weather complication, then found out it's a location problem. The map app in the watch cannot find present position.

Followed Jonathan (thank you!)  suggestion, but it didn't work.  Watch is connected to phone (verified by using remote camera, ping, etc,,,,,,).

I'm pretty sure it started happening after updating iOS to 9.3.1.

I also tried hard rebooting phone and watch.

I was worried I was the only one for a bit. sorry your having the same trouble but its nice to no I'm not the only one having this. it wasn't this bad even when the watch came out changing Location and no fixes.

I unpaired and paired to solve this problem last week, but it is happening again today. I am also having a problem with the phone -- spotlight search doesn't work unless I change the language from English (US) to English (Canada).

I deleted New York under Weather and for a couple days its still working I'm not sure its a real fix but it helped me. I hope they make the software work better in the Futcher. it must be something with location too I'm not sure hopefully this might help you.

Rebooting both phone and watch at the same time fixed it for me this time.  I let the phone come back up first if that matters. A lot quicker than re-pairing!
