Q: itunes freezes when iphone is connected

Hello,

Whenever I connect my iphone to my computer, first it is slow. Then I see my device syncing and it stops. I cannot click anything on itunes and it appears to have frozen. The 'rotating bar' you see when an iphone syncs, just freezes. Nothing in itunes works. I have literally made a long list of all the things that I have tried in order to stop this problem. But when I disconnect the iphone and wait about a minute (for I can still see the frozen sync bar AFTER disconnecting my iphone 5) it works. After disconnecting my iphone it is as if nothing ever happened. Please Help!!! :-)

Thank you for responding. I've already tried the suggestions mentioned in the article and it still does not seem to work. I don't know if it is relevant, but my lenovo yoga 3 pro-1370 freezes if I literally shake the computer. I've tried many suggestions to no avail. I believe it is something INSIDE the computer. Again, I do not know if the two are related. Should I call Apple Support?

Also, I cannot download iCloud. There is an error message pop-up with a white x inside a red circle that says "updates cannot be installed" when trying to download icloud.
