Q: Where can I buy "Made for Apple Watch" lugs/adapters?

Does anyone know of a company selling retail "Made of Apple Watch" Apple-approved lugs for Apple Watch?

I've located the company Avnet (https://mfi.avnet.com/lug/index.html) that sells lots 25 or 200. Not exactly what I had in mind.

Thanks!

    Hi

To order "Made for Apple Watch" lugs for use in third-party bands, visit Apple's authorised distributor's website:

Jonathan UK, maybe I missing something? That's the link I posted in my question. The page offers lots of 25 or 200 lugs, again, which is what I said.

A little too quick on the V, I guess?

So, maybe someone has a helpful answer.

Made for Apple Watch lugs are available via Apple's authorised distributor (my reply aimed to confirm that this was the same site that you had previously visited).

The lugs are intended for bulk sale to third-party band manufacturers, not individually to end users.

As of right now, there's only one Apple-approved third-party lug distributor, and you've already identified it, jd202.

I doubt individual Apple-approved lugs (in sets of 2) will ever become available for retail sale to individual users, however, so Apple can ensure that third-party bands meet its standards.

That said, there's plenty of info online about how to use "any" watchband on an original leather-band Apple Watch, including this video.

Otherwise, you can always resort to buying a non-approved/unofficial Apple Watch lug/band. Amazon sells a ton of them, but caveat emptor.

Yeah, seems you're right. But that's quite disappointing. I thought about buying a bunch of lugs and reselling them, but that's a violation of the terms. And where can you buy third party bands with these lugs?

I've bought some third party lugs and in quality terms they range from a little better than adequate to just meh. Not really interested in buying a $150 Apple band too get a $15 lug. Defeats the purpose. My $17 lug and $35 band get lots of compliments at the Apple Store, so I guess that's the best I'm gonna do.
