What is preventing you from doing so?

I can click the iCloud storage button for 50GB, but the reset button is greyed out...even the close button (Top LHS) does not work....so I am stuck on 200MB. Won't let me downgrade.

Where are you looking at this information? When you go to System Preferences>iCloud>Manage Storage>Change Storage Plan>and then sign in with your Apple ID password, you should see a list of lower Storage Options that you can select from. There is no "Reset" button - only the other storage options.

So, not sure where you are looking?

Can't change it from 200MB to 50MB....the "DONE" button, bottom RHS, is greyed out.....so I am stuck on 200 MB

Again, I do not know where you are looking. I do not see any reset button. Are you following the navigation path I provided?

What OS X are you running? This is what I see when I follow that path:

That is because it is already selected. Bring up the screen again and if you still the 5GB Free box highlighted in Blue, it means you are already set up to downgrade to that level when your subscription completes.

I cannot change my plan, either.  The "done" button is greyed out.  i can't go back to the free plan.

any ideas how to downgrade storage?

Again, as with the poster above, it is showing that what you have for your iCoud Storage Plan is the 5GB free plan. The blue check-mark shows that. If you go out of that menu all the way, and then back in, you will see that the 5GB is what is selected for you.

HI, Gail.  That is not working for me.  I have tried changing the storage options, but all I can do is cancel. my "Current Plan" is 50GB,  .99c a month.

If I select 5GB, the free plan, all I can do is cancel.  "Done". Is greyed out.

Same thing last month, checking it every month and it won't go away.

    argh!  So frustrating.

    Have you tried:

    1.     Resetting the device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears. Once the Slide to Unlock screen displays, try the downgrade again

    2.     Try signing out of iCloud and back in again, and check to see if the downgrade registered

If neither of these work, contact iCloud support at the link above your post.

    Cheers,
