Q: ***iPod Nano 7th Gen Won't Switch On***
My iPod nano (7th gen, 16GB) won't switch on.
Every time I try to switch it on by holding the sleep/wake button, the apple logo appears, the iPod switches on for 1 or 2 seconds, and then the device switches off.
It is being recognised through my USB port and iTunes. When I keep it plugged into my computer through a USB cable, it functions normally.
How can I fix this problem?

It sounds like the iPod's battery is not able to hold its charge after being disconnected. That may be why it does not turn ON when disconnected, but it does operate properly when connected to power.
You can try doing a Restore on the iPod using iTunes, in case the cause is a software issue. This erases the iPod, reinstalls its software, and sets it to default settings.
