Feb 27, 2016 5:48 AM in response to Tp584spanoby jpw1,
Nothing that has worked. I have done more searching and I can't find any solutions. I have had this issue for a while. Its saving the data somewhere on the phone because if I call a restaurant that I have added while in Maps the name populates in my call log but if I search the contacts or a general search on the phone nothing shows. I have iPhone 6 running 9.2.1. -

Mar 15, 2016 4:50 PM in response to marthafrom NJby Fallen City,Same here only I'm not adding this from Maps I'm adding directly from the keyboard. If I add a contact it does not show up in my contacts. As the rest of you have mentioned, it is stored somewhere that the phone can access it, but doesn't show up in the contacts. Interestingly, while the addresses I add on my iPhone do NOT show up the iPhone itself they do show up on the iPad and the iMac which are all synced. Both my iPhone 6 and my iPad are running 9.2.1.

Apr 11, 2016 8:31 AM in response to idickersby Marknhl,I have the same problem. Although, I noticed that if I add the contact and then separately type in the number and call it, the call shows as calling to that contact. What I mean is, the business I just did this with was Debbie Supply Inc. Added it, tried to find in contacts - couldn't find it. Then, separately I went to Google Maps, selected Call from the app, which redirected to phone and called the number for the business. My phone shows calling Debbie Supply Inc as if the contact were in my Contacts. I search contacts again looking for Deb, Supp, and Inc and find nothing. So weird.
My guess is that the contact is being added the phone's memory, but is somehow not being shown in Contacts.

Apr 11, 2016 8:42 AM in response to Marknhlby jpw1,Your correct. I have noticed that if I try to save them they do not show up in contacts, but if they call me or I manually call them the name shows in in the caller ID. The problem is if I want to call the place I have to look up the number instead of going to my contacts. Very frustrating that it's clearly being stored but not being accessed by contacts.

Aug 17, 2016 8:14 AM in response to idickersby WeeBeeIphone,Having the same problem in first post. This just started for me with latest update 9.3.4. Does Apple respond to this forum? We need a solution.

Sep 4, 2016 8:43 AM in response to idickersby chern4c,A work-around solution is the following.
1. Instead of "Create New Contact", you need to use "Add to Existing Contact".
2. So go to your "Contacts" and create a new contact in "Contacts".
3. Now you have an existing contact. And then you can use "Add to Existing Contact" feature in iphone Maps.
Having said that, Apple should fix this problem in upcoming iOS. I am wondering if this has anything to do with security.
