Q: gps not working properly after iOS 9.3 update

Hi all.

After updating to iOS 9.3 my GPS cannot find my exact location. It keeps telling me I am in a big area, (Triangulating) seems like it does not activate the GPS.

Sometimes very little it works and give me the correct position, but 97% of the time its not working. Anyone else with the same problem?

Besides that: A hot phone & bad WIFI

iPhone 6 running iOS 9.3

I just launched Google Maps for the first time since updating to 9.3.1. It seems to get an initial GPS fix, but then sticks at the spot. I skipped 9.3, but this definately wasn't happening on my previous install of 9.2.x

Hope that Apple is looking at this, because this could be a major issue!!!

I Have the same problem,  the wifi connects but without being able to open any webpage. The gps is working but i noticed that the problem occurred since the update that was done before the version of 9.31.

I Guess tomorrow will pass by apple to see what is happening.

THis is truly a bad image for apple specially after that i paid 1000 for this phone.

I Passed by the Genius store and explained what happened, they did a physical test to my mobile and it did not gave any error. They asked me to do a hard reset and see what happens. If the problem was not solved, they may replace the phone because it is still under warranty. Moreover i am not suffering from the gps, it is working fine, but the strange thing is that from the beginning of the time i own this phone i was not able to see the 5G network.

this week i am kind of too busy, will do it next week and send you my feedback.

I had the same issues happening over the last 3 months.  GPS not locating, wifi horrible, and bluetooth only able to have maybe a 2 foot range before crapping out.  Took it to my local Apple Store and the 'Genius' ran diagnostics and found nothing wrong with it.  Offered me a $300 credit towards a new 6S, or a replacement 6 for $379 (my phone is out of warranty now)... I did a little reading and discovered others in the same boat who opted to fix the hardware issue themselves.  I ended up replacing the wifi/bluetooth module AND the flex antenna that sits underneath it on the logic board.  8 dollars in parts, and a little patience, and it's running good as new.    Granted, the dismantling and reassembling requires nerves of steel and some confidence but honestly, it really wasn't too hard at all.  I found a great tutorial online and followed it to the letter.   I'm still convinced that something in IOS 8.0.2 fried the flex antenna or wifi/bt module in some phones.  It's odd that SO MANY people experienced the same issue...

I Have same issue. After I slap my phone in my hand, GPS accuracy is restored and WIFI signal strength is improved

i can't believe that apple is refusing to address this issue, given how many people are effected

i also noticed when I apply pressure to top right corner of the phone, wifi signal seems to improve as well

i believe where iPhone 6 has flexible cable ribbon.

i Am curious if anyone tried to simply refit cable oppose to replacing it?

Yeah, this busted antenna theory is mine as well.  I'm on the verge of using up all my monthly data PLUS my rollover data because of the poor Wifi reception, so I have a "Genius Bar" appointment tomorrow to see what they will say.

I am having the same problem after getting my screen replaced at the Genius Bar.  Most days I am not able to get GPS accuracy beyond 1400 feet.  I am taking my phone back.

Let me know what your experience after visiting the genius bar.  I had my screen replaced as well, and I can no longer get good GPS reception reliably.

I had the same problem. Iphone 6.

After 9.3 Update, GPS not detected on Waze and WIFI signal seems to be much lower ( 1 bar within 8 meter distance from router)

    9.3.1 update didnt help.

Currently complaining to apple support center and waiting for the investigation result

Phone is out of warranty, since it's been a while.

But definitely the update screw up the phone gps and wifi function.

I've reset the phone, reset the network setting, restore to default firmware 9.3.1. None seems to help.

Apple please help to sort this problem asap......
