The mac i am buying is below:

Mini Mac

2.6 GHz Dual Core Intel Core i5

8GB 1600MHz

1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400rpm

I am wanting 4 video outputs

I don't want to use usb to vga as the software i will be using doesn't support these

I know the mini mac has 2 thunderbolt & 1 HDMI so i can do 3 but how would i get the forth?

It is not true that a 2014 Mac Mini can natively run three monitors. Even with three ports the 2014 Mini can only run two monitors.

Since yo do not want to use a USB video adopter you need either:

    - One triple head adopter

    or

    - Two dual head adopters

    I have looked at these

this would solve one issue as 2 screens are the same resolution

but i would still need 2 other outputs as the other 2 are of different resolutions and matrox does not support this

And which mac mini is it that can support 2 thunderbolt and 1 HDMI out? as displays

as all i can find on google is that it does support it

    Regards

What says the 2-14 Min can natively support three monitors?

How to get 4 video outputs Mac Mini

By not buying it, and buying a Mac Pro instead.

When the cost of your displays exceeds the cost of your computer, your expectations can't be too optimistic.

I totally agree with you Lanny. There has been a recent spurt of requests from people trying to connect absurd numbers of monitors to a tiny, cheap, lowest of the low model Mac.

There is a reason the Mac Pro exists and this is exactly it. They can always look at getting either a refurbished or secondhand Mac Pro. I would also expect prices of secondhand ones i.e. secondhand 'new' Mac Pros to start dropping a fair bit because everyone is now expecting a replacement model to come out this year.
