I understand that you are not able to left click on your MacBook Pro. Let's see if we can figure out what is going on.
The first thing that comes to mind is that the control key might be pressed or is pressed down without you knowing about it. You can check this option by opening the Keyboard View within system preferences. Take a look at the first article below to walk you through how to enable this and check.
One or more keys on the keyboard do not respond

Another thing to try is starting up in Safe Mode to see if your left click works after logging in. I know the article talks about your Mac not completely starting up, but is good for isolating other issues that happen while working normally. You can start up in Safe Mode by press and holding the Shift Key upon start up until you see the Apple logo with progress bar. Once you log in, test to see if the left click works. You can leave Safe Mode by restarting your Mac.

Apr 12, 2016 10:07 AM in response to Woetie86by Duane,Have you checked System Preferences -> Trackpad -> Point & Click -> Tap to click to ensure that it is clicked?
There is probably a similar setting in System Preferences -> Mouse.
