Q: El Capitan & Safari

is any one having trouble with Safari after loading the newest OS El Capitan?

I have a iMac with a 2.8GHz processor and I have not been able to load many of the old sites I did before the upgrade.

I get SAFARI cannot find site. All my other devices work just fine, I didi not upgrade them.

iPad Air Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.4

A Safe Mode boot deletes system caches that may help after an OS X update or upgrade.

Top left corner of your screen click the Apple  > Shut Down.

After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold down the Shift key. You should press the Shift key as soon as possible after you hear the startup tone, but not before.

Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

Once you are in Safe Mode, go back to the Apple  menu. From the drop down menu click: Restart

Then try Safari.

Mr. Root,

While in SAFE MODe the double was corrected and I could open all me URL's. However, when i go back to normal mode I have the same trouble. It there a was to over write the Safe mode onto the normal mode?

Might be 3rd party software, which isn't loaded in the Safe Mode.

Try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read.

Mr. Root,

I tried to open the attachment you sent.

"Safari could not open the Page, http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck because the server where the page is located is not responding", was the reply.

I could not even copy the page.

Try booting into the Safe Mode again to see if you can download the program. If successful, reboot normally, wait about 30 minutes, and then run the program.
