Q: I can't redeem my apple gift card which my friend sent me by mail

How to redeem my apple store gift card which i recived from mail, i have barcodes and pin, Gift Card Number but neither work when i try to redeem, it says "error you must enter a valid code" but i type my code. What is the problem?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.1

Have you tried the suggestions in the support article? Using your iPhone to read the barcode might be the most reliable method.

Is your friend in the same country as you? If they tried to send you a gift certificate from another country, it's not going to work. Your friend will need to contact the iTunes Store at the link turingtest2 gave to see if they can get a refund.

but he bought by apple online (digiral gift card), is then any difference? he only made payment from other country and send digital gift card to my mail

Gift cards, whether physical or digital, bought in one country can't be used in another.
