Q: My ipod 5 randomly stopped working. First it wouldn't connect to wifi and now I can't even turn it on. This is the second ipod 5 that i've owned that shut down within a year to two years of owning it. Why does it keep doing this?

Why did my ipod 5 randomly stop working?

Unless you are abusing the iPod (i.e., dropping it) it seems you are just unlucky.

    Have you tried the following:

    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

    - Try another cable

    - Try on another computer

    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
