Q: File incompatible Error - New file missing audio

I dont know how it happened as my media has always been stored inside the library file, but somehow a few files got unlinked.  They wont relink as it says the new file its trying to relink doesnt have the audio file that the original did.  I dont want to have to re add the clips into the timeline as i have the specific shots I want and dont even remember what part of the video is added.  Is there a way to over ride the error and let it import without the audio? I dont need the audio file anyways.

Anyone have any idea how the audio file disappeared?  I separated the audio file in the timeline from the clip as I didnt want it, is it possible the separated audio file got left somewhere?

FCP X remembers all your moves:

Find a clip already used and then do a replace edit:

Should be straight forward to sort it out.

I don't know exactly why your clips went missing.

For some reason the clip in the "Original" has a different name then the one in the library.  I know its the same clip though, so if I renamed it as the same would this work?

I dont see anything that says "replace" when you right click a clip?

Also the two files below are the ones that are missing.  They are in the Original media file inside the project library.  For some reason though they are small files, do not play, and were renamed with (fcp1) after it.  Does this tell you anything?

Drag the clip from the Browser to the same one in the Timeline, then the popup menu appears.
