Q: Spaces vs Desktops
Some Apple descriptions use "space" and others use "desktop" to refer to the same thing. Mission Control uses both (e.g., Desktop1, Desktop2, vs. "screen" in the Mission Control system preference screen). Why? Am I missing something?

Hi timonterey. Spaces is Apple’s name for its virtual desktop feature, an organizational tool to create individual workspaces. If you prefer, think of spaces as locations analogous to virtual displays which may contain a desktop (where you view file, folder, and application windows), a full-screen app, or two apps in Split View. Thus, you can create a desktop space, a full-screen space, or a full-screen space (Split View). When you add a desktop, e.g. Desktop 2, you are creating a desktop in an additional space. Some Apple documentation may simply refer to a desktop as a space.
