Q: which brand of cds are compatable

i keep getting a message when trying to burn a CD in iTunes that says something like the CD can't be burned, try another brand or slower speed. What brand works? I've tried Memorex and Verbatum. The latter worked at the slowest speed and the first 75 of 100 Memorex worked at 8x.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

    The super-drives in Mac's have always been finicky. Some folks will say Memorex, some will say Verbatum and some will say Sony.

     

    1. Try cleaning your super-drive with a cleaning disc.

    2. Get a good desktop DVD drive. (I've had an LG desktop drive for years and it has never let me down)
