Q: change wifi password on a pc using windows 10

I upgraded to Windows 10 on my pc.  It used to be easy to figure out where to change my wifi password.

Have a Airport Capsule as a backup harddrive.  I think I go there to change it, but am unsure. Thank you.

sony, Windows XP

If you want to change the password in the Airport, you need to install the airport utility.. which ceased development on the PC side at win7. It can still work in win10.. but also is rather flakey.

It is much better to use iOS version airport utility if you don't have a Mac.. surely you have some apple products to have bought a TC??

I am taking the mac00 in your name as indication of the number of Mac computers you own.

As LaPastenague has mentioned, you would need to use the AirPort Utility for Windows to change the Wi-Fi password of your Time Capsule.

Although it was designed to work with Windows 7, it can still be used with the newer versions of Windows for the 802.11n AirPort base stations. It should not be used with the newest 802.11ac models.

To change the Wi-Fi password using the utility:

    • Run AirPort Utility for Windows.
    • Select your Time Capsule (TC)
    • Select Manual Setup.
    • Click on the Wireless tab.
    • The Wi-Fi password can be changed on this window.
    • After you change the password, click on Update and allow the TC to restart.
