Q: Internal keyboard and mouse are unresponsive at random times forcing me to restart my laptop 15 times before it works again
1. Sometimes that haptic feedback on the mouse isn't triggered leaving me clicking the mouse, while feeling un-natural - something that isn't supposed to happen
2. After shutting my laptop/closing the lid/putting it to sleep (not turning it off) the mouse and keyboard literally won't work - this forces me to restart my laptop multiple times (sometimes around 15, taking me 5-10 minutes just to get my laptop to work)
Additional Details:
-I tested a USB keyboard and mouse with my laptop and it works perfectly, even when the internal ones don't - maybe it's a hardware problem?
-I went to the apple store a couple weeks ago and talked to someone at the "Genius Bar," which didn't really help at all - he told me I should restart my laptop every time I open it and that I should make another user account - although I was skeptical of the logic used to come up with these "solutions" I tried them anyway, here we are with the same problem ---- also, I should not have to shut my laptop down 15 times every time that I want to use it, that's ridiculous and it's why I bought a mac rather than a pc.
-I don't run any software/battery intensive programs on my laptop - mostly just Word and Google Chrome, which isn't much
-Here's a link to a video I uploaded to google drive demonstrating how ridiculous this is... https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4oQ4C8NCLcWTWo5aVlrbDE1QmM
Questions
-I don't think a fix is entirely likely, but any suggestions are welcomed!
-Should I take it to the apple store and demand a replacement? I have two years of apple care left
This is probably in the wrong category, I apologize upfront - but this is a really odd problem that I don't think has a solution. Regardless, thank you for reading my rant and inputting your advice!
