Q: how do i restore email from icloud?

I accidentally deleted all the emails from my inbox on my iphone. I then immediately tried to move them from the trash folder back to the inbox folder. A small number of the most recent emails now appear in my inbox, and the trash folder is empty. How do I restore the emails from icloud?

iPhone 5, iOS 9.3.1

    Hello jaenab,

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

     

    I understand you've deleted emails from your iCloud account and you're not seeing them in the Trash in order to restore them.  Once a message is in the Trash, it is then permanently erased after 30 days.

     

    Deleted messages are moved to the Trash mailbox in iCloud Mail. After you delete a message, it’s saved in your Trash for 30 days, after which it’s permanently erased from the Trash.
