Q: Messaging from iPad to non-Apple smartphones?

iMessaging works fine for iPhone to iPad and vice versa...what about when sending a message to a Galaxy Smartphone....does'nt allow to Send...??

If this proves impossible, is there an App which allows to send messages from an iPad to other devices, whether they are iPhones or non-iPhone smartphones?

Any help much appreciated.

Each device needs a third-party apps like Facebook messages or Yak. There are others too.

An iPad (and even a Mac) can send SMS messages via your iPhone if you have Text Message Forwarding turned on, is that what you're looking for? On your iPhone go to Settings> Messages> Text Message Forwarding. Your iPhone has to have service to send out the SMS, and the devices have to be on the same Wi-Fi network.
