Q: Lost and found my device but forgot passcode...

Hello. I put one of my devices into Lost Mode and I forgot the passcode... My device still appears on my iCloud account. What happens if I click on Remove from Account ? I don't want to erase, because I would like to find my lost data... Thank you.

iPhone 4S, iOS 8.1.3

If you have forgotten your passcode, to be able to use the device again, you will have to restore the device. To restore it, you will have to remove it from your account since you put it in Lost mode. This will help you once you remove it from your account. If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
