I understand you are having trouble syncing music with your iPhone 6s since it was erased. Did you set your iPhone up as a new phone or did you restore from a backup? Are you subscribed to Apple Music? Do you have iCloud Music Library enabled? If so, your music would be managed using the Apple Music app and downloading songs from iCloud, not by syncing with iTunes. Please reply with a little more information and I'll do my best to help. Meanwhile, I'll include resources for Apple Music, iCloud Music Library and Syncing with iTunes (in case you aren't using iCloud Music Library.)
Update your devices
Your membership gives you the full Apple Music experience on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC. Make sure that your devices are up to date:
- iOS 8.4 on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- iTunes 12.2 or later on your Mac or PC. Get the latest version.
Use Apple Music in the Music app
Sync Apple Music across your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and computer
With your Apple Music membership, you can access your music library on all of your devices using iCloud Music Library. When you sign in to Apple Music on any of your devices, you can see your library in My Music.
Your music library includes:
- songs, albums, and playlists that you added from the Apple Music catalog;
- music that you bought from iTunes; and
- music from other sources in iTunes on your Mac or PC, including CDs that you ripped and music that you created yourself.
CaelinS, if you do not use Apple Music and iCloud Music Library, this resource explains how to sync from your iTunes Library to your iPhone using a USB cable. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes for Windows installed on your PC.
Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes using USB

Apr 18, 2016 2:11 PM in response to judysingsby CaelinS,Ok to answer some of your questions, I had to set up as a new iPhone but then was able to back it up and no i am not subscribed to Apple Music and no i don't have iCloud Music Library enabled. I looked on other sites as well as in settings to make sure I do not have either of these turned on. I followed the link you gave me at the bottom of you post talking about syncing music over through iTunes, but that is not working either. I have the all the artists music I want on my iPhone, but iTunes seems to skip over step 3 in the sync process.
Before I I had to reset my phone i was able to drag the song/album over to a slide over tab that had my iPhone listed and the song(s) would transfer over perfectly. Is there some bug that restricts some songs after updating? I have read a couple pages that say iOS 9 has some bugs like this
Thanks so much for the help! Is there any thing else you can think of? And again, any more information I need to give just ask.

Apr 18, 2016 3:08 PM in response to CaelinSby judysings,Hi CaelinS,
Thanks for your reply. Just to confirm, do you have the latest version of iTunes on your PC? If not, download, install, and restart your computer. In your initial question you state "only certain songs were able to be put onto my iPhone, while others weren't." But in your last post you said "I have all the artist's music I want on my iPhone." So, does that mean that your most recent sync successfully added more music to your iPhone?
I'd like to ask you to create a playlist and add songs to it that are not currently on your iPhone, including some that you were trying to sync before. When you sync the playlist, does the music appear on your iPhone? If so, there may be specific song files that are corrupt. Delete the songs that are giving you trouble. Then re-download purchased content or re-import from CDs to your iTunes Library and try again.

Apr 18, 2016 4:52 PM in response to judysingsby CaelinS,Sorry for the confusion, but what I meant to say is that I have the artists I want selected on the sync music window in iTunes not that I have all the artists music on my iPhone atm. To confirm what I said in my original post, only certain songs were transferring to my iPhone when via the method I described in my second post (dragging the song/album to a slide over tab that listed my iPhone 6s). And yes I have the latest version of iTunes which is 12.3.3 and have double checked in the help menu "Check for Updates" to make sure I have the latest version of iTunes.
While trying the sync playlist idea you suggested, I received an error code -54 once, while every other time when I tried syncing, it simply didn't sync over to the iPhone again skipping over step 3. In fact, when I tried to sync the playlist over, It removed songs from my iPhone . Lost about 70 some songs on my iPhone.
Anything else you can offer? This seems like a problem with the iPhone being reset/being backed up since all the songs would transfer smoothly before I had to reset.
Thanks for the help once again, really appreciate it and would love to see this problem solved
