Try the remaining actions of the following. However, you may have a damaged Lightning port on the iPod or other hardware damage

If you can’t charge your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Try another cable. The cable for 5G or later iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.
- If a 5G ot later iPod

- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Apr 19, 2016 5:46 AM in response to Afees98by BooMonster,This may call for a visit to the Genius Bar, It is also possible that a cord was plugged in, burned (This has happened to 2 of my cords) and damaged the port while plugged in. Have you tried plugging in different locations?
