Backup everything. Move the Server App Icon to the trash. It will stop all services and preserve the data. Restart the Mac. Move the Server App back from the Trash to the Applications folder. Launch the App. Go for lunch and coffee afterwards. When you return it should be finished with the update. This update really takes some time with updating some of the services as a lot is happening under the hood. Give it proper time, without any interference and you should be good to go. Now, did you do the backup?

Please move the Calendar service data aside temporarily so that the migration will finish, then follow the instructions inthis ASC thread. If you're migrating from Server 5.0.x to 5.1.x or later, then wherever "postgresql9.2" occurs in those instructions, change it to "postgresql9.3".

But most likely the migration will still fail. You should always expect Server upgrades to fail. In that case, you have to export the calendar data on the clients, then wipe out all Calendar Service data on the server and reimport.
