iCloud

Q: I have an old .Mac address that will no longer receive email.

The account is current, but when I go to create the mail account in Mac I am only offered the choice of iCloud set up which is strictly IMAP now. I can no longer set up my older email address.

Hello Roy,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see you have an older @mac.com email address that you'd like to get set up on your Mac. Back when iCloud was introduced all previous MobileMe members had their accounts converted into an iCloud account, thus merging with iCloud. This means you can set up your @mac.com email address in the iCloud field.
