Q: El Capitan upgrade downloaded but won't install
I have a late 2010 Macbook Air running Yosemite. I'd like to upgrade it to El Capitan. I can download El Capitan, but then nothing happens - it never moves on to the upgrade process and the computer is still running Yosemite. I've restarted the download process three times now, with the same result each time. Is there any way I can find the downloaded file and force the install?

Graham,
Open your Applications Folder and look for an Install OS X El Capitan application, if it located in the Applications folder, double-click on it.
Troubleshooting the Mac App Store - Apple Support may provide some clues.
Also, read can't download Lion OS - says it's been downloaded already, but it hasn't been for some additional options.
