Q: Boot Camp

Hey, I am trying to install windows 10 on my macbook pro 9.2 13 inch through boot camp but my hdd doesnt want to partition. I tried the other things i have found in the apple discussions but for some reason none of thos methods work. I really need it ASAP for University

MacBook Pro, iOS 9.3.1

1. Backup OSX and all your files - Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

2. Boot into Internet Recovery (Command+Opt+R) - OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support .

3. Click on Utilties -> Disk Utility and Erase your internal whole disk.

4. Restore OSX and your files - Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

This requires a separate external disk which can accommodate TM backup - Backup disks you can use with Time Machine - Apple Support .

Sorry man, i am not that smart with computers and stuff. I am actually currently deteling stuff that i dont need, trying make more free space and then after i will start backing up. Just wanting know the process of how to do the reset and also how long it would take altogether for it to reset

Hello, test to make a partition on your disc directly since the application “disk utility” formate in FAT32
Then boot with the "Alt key"to starting and chosen W10 then formate your partition to create again in NTFS

You will need to boot into Internet Recovery and erase your internal disk using Utilities -> Disk Utility and then restore from your Backup. Once the restore is complete, retry the BC Assistant.

how do you exactly go into internet recovery and how do you use time machine to copy my stuff back. And also could I partition the disk first before backing it up.
And another thing is that time machine hasnt still back up my stuff yet, it says it is still encryting.
