Q: is soundtrack pro inclulded in Final Cut Pro x (i'm running old FCP 7 and have Soundtrack Pro 3) thinking of updgading to iMAC with FCP X
I have a very old Mac Pro G5 - probably vintage 2005. Since it looks like the new Mac Pro's may be on the way out (no new one since 2013), I am thinking about souping up a new 27" iMac and converting from my old Final Cut Pro v 7 and Soundtrack Pro v 3 to the new Final Cut Pro X.
I can't find Soundtrack Pro by itself anymore and Apple iMac chat person thinks it is build into Final Cut Pro X now. I'd like to confirm.
I use Soundtrack Pro to record vinyl records and CDs in my collection into Soundtrack to make a WAV file and to remove any noise like pops and clicks, etc. Would want to do the same with Final Cut Pro X. Can someone confirm that this function is there?
A second concern is how to get my audo and video signals into a new iMac Pro via the Thunderbolt connection. I'm having trouble locating a simple Thunderbolt box that will hande both input and output from RCA jacks, SVIDED and Firewire from my old video cameras and sound gear. Any suggestions?
