    Hello,

I had the same troubles on my iPhone 5 and already thought that it's a hardware defect. But then I read, that so many people have that annoying problem.

Also installing the public Beta of 9.3.2 did not fix the problem

Also tried hard reset, re-install and so on...

When will Apple fix that ****?

I've been experiencing the same issue, along with the "deaf Siri/dictation" issue. Great job, Apple. Keep it up.

For the unresponsive screen, for some reason I shook the phone in an attempt to see if it would be a bug in the accelerometer trying to figure out the orientation and what not...and it seem to have worked from there on. After that, I locked the orientation change.  So far so good. Please post your results  if you try that. Good luck!

For me it seems to be a little bit better since 9.3.2 public Beta.

    Hi all,

Sorry it took me a while to post my update but l was really upset after my genius bar appointment on Wednesday 13 of April.

So here what was happened on my trip to visit. after listening to what's the problem is with my 128GB iPhone 6, the specialist guy ran some diagnostic on my handset and then he said that he could not find any issues with the hardware / the phone itself. He could see that most of the apps were crashed are the 3rd party apps, not apple ones. And l did try to explain to him l also experienced the keyboard being frozen when typing a message in iMessag. However l could not demonstrate that because suddenly the iMessages worked fine at that momen. Anyway, his solution for these 3rd party apps frozen are to delete these apps and reinstall them again. and that concluded my appointmen. l dont deny that l left the Apple store feeling so let down because he didnt even ask if l would like to change to a new handset - l was at the point of willing to pay to get  different handset.

l went home and l accidentally bump the phone on the table; l guess that must have shocked the phone and "magically" the frozen issue disappeared. Since then my phone occasionally froze the screen but not constantly like it used to be. but still though, l am very skeptical about the upcoming iPhone or even updating the ios because look like new version of ios always caused so many issues to the older model iphone - have the feeling like being pushed to purchase the latest model of the iphone.

honestly l used to change my handset each September when the new iPhone comes out since  iPhone 4.  but last September l decided to purchase a new ipad for my son so l hang on to this iPhone 6 and it has been having so many issues since the iphone 6S came out.

Anyway, that's my update. by the way, l read that updating to 9.3.2 public beta helps with this issue. Where can l find that update because l go to my phone software setting and it said my phone is up to date?

Hey, l tried to give the phone a good shake & lock the orientation like you mentioned. Seems to work. But not sure for how long. Fingers crossed l guess. Lol

For the public beta start with the link below. I would highly recommend against it. You need to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement or NDA to download the beta. Once joining you are on your own. If you mention you're running beta here your post will be deleted. If you go to an Apple Store they'll hand your phone right back to you. I doubt the a beta will fix your problem, they generally cause more problems then they fix.

You're welcome.  By not installing the beta you save yourself a lot of headaches then if a update will help your phone you can still enjoy the benefits.

    Hi

I have had the same bug, i.e. my screen being regularly frozen / locked in particular and systematically when I start using the iPhone.

I confirm that by shaking the iPhone the screen is unlocked and things are working properly.

I hope that this fix will continue to work.

Note: I spent all my last nights in setting restrictions to each of my apps (no more back-up, no more usage in background, ...), in setting to off any back-ups use of iCloud. All this time lost to discover that shaking the iPhone will unlock my screen. I hope that Apple will fix quick this bug ... this is annoying for a top level and quality brand !

    Regards

Agreed, this bug is completely unacceptable. This fixes it for me. It appears that the phone doesn't have an issue of it's flat once it's been shaken. As soon as I take put it back in my pocket the problem comes back. Does look to be linked to the accelerometer in some way but having to shake the phone is not an acceptable fix!!!

I had the same problem, since i upgraded to ios 9.3.1 my iphone 6 started to become unresponsive and there was a time my apps open automatically. And sometimes i can't send message and answer call to my family and friends because it become unresponsive and there's a time it type itself while making txt message. I have already reset my iphone but still experiencing unresponsive touchscreen, i don't know how long how i'm going to use the solution restarting the phone everytime it will become unresponsive in order to access apps and type messages. I'm also getting worried because my warranty have already expired last feb 2016, because my prolong use in this solution might cause another problem in home and power keys everytime it becomes unresponsive even if i carefully push it.

I don't if i should gamble in another upcoming ios, because i don't know if that ios update will be a solution to our problems or another bugs to our phone which we will be another burden to all of us.

How i wish to all of us experiencing this kind problem to have peace of mind. Because the money we buy to this expensive phone cannot earned easily and the trust we put in the ios firmware that will make our phone system become better but it turns out dilemma to all of us.

I´m sure we can claim than the bug is fixed.

Unresponsive screen can be back to operational by shaking hard the iPhone as explained below. However this is a temporary measure as the bug comes back regularly. Worst by shaking hard my iPhone 6 I'm afraid I seriously damage / reduce lifetime of my iPhone.

APple needs to fix permanently this bug and quick before our iPhones stops working being to much streessed by shaking them hard.

    I found a temporary solutions.

    >>turn off Touch ID Iphone unlock function (finger print), it's work fine for me now..

it could be some bugs in the touch ID function.

This issue looks to be server side (like the safari bug a few weeks ago). Mine suddenly started working ok on Monday and has mysteriously started to have the issue again.
