Q: iTunes has stopped working. Why?

I've gone through your suggested posts, uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times...nothing is working. I tried to install an earlier version, but I couldn't figure that out. What am I missing? Any more ideas? Thanks for your help!

To reinstall the previous build you first need to uninstall iTunes and all related components. Then if the update made changes to the library, like the most recent one did, you also need to roll back the library as described in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash. Finally you can install the previous build. Download from this list of iTunes installers.

Dear Team

When I connect my Iphone 6s plus (ios9.3) to computer, itune was actived.

I tried to sycn all informations (musics, photos, videos) from Itune to Iphone, immiediately, I recieved notification "itune has stop working"

After that, I tried itune without iphone connection, itune work normally.

I tried uninstall all program from apple, after that I reinstalled. That mirrors still survive

I found some solutions on google like:

- Download all .dll to copy&paste to itune folder located in disk C as direction.

- Re-check itune's language.

- Check confliction between itune and quick movie, but I did not install that program into my computer.

- Update itune

- Window tap + R with cmd scannow to find programe's error

- Window tap + R with confict to find confliction between itune and any

After, I did all solution, I could not overcome this issues

Some friends ask me to re-install window. Do you think that solutin is good?

Can you suggest me sth to fix it without window re-installation.

so, i am also having the 'iTunes has stopped working' message (with or without phone attached) after up to 20 program removal/install sequences (with and without Apple iTunes support) and no luck.  i have deleted all itunes files everywhere i can find them.  i have tried older versions.  i have moved all dll files as suggested by others.  was working on old HP but now not on new Lenovo (work computers), however, did have this issue in past on HP and not sure how it got fixed - too long ago.  on Windows 7. Suggestions?

What was the last version that worked for you?

32 or 64 bit platform?

Does iTunes open in its own safe mode which you get to by holding down ctrl+shift as you launch it?

Not sure but think 64 bit.  And yes got to safe mode.

Sometimes iTunes sorts itself out if you open in safe mode, close, then open normally. If not can you show me the full error message when it crashes?

Unfortunately this did not work. Have also tried older versions of itunes. Have heard this may be an issue with the newest version but not sure if/when fix expected.

This link iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) goes directly to a support document that hosts the most recent "for older video cards" version. It is a 64-bit installer for mostly 32-bit code, similar to all 64-bit versions of iTunes up to 12.1. It may be more stable on some systems, age of video card notwithstanding. The earlier link was to an outdated version for 64-bit Vista.

Or try rolling back to the last build of iTunes that worked for you. See iTunes installers for download links. If you're rolling back from 12.3.3.17 to 12.3.2.35 then you'll also need to roll back the library database in the way described in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash.

Didn't find QTMoviewin.dll in the folder. So I download one and put it in the iTunes folder. And when I tried to open iTunes, hoping it will work now, it didn't. Still the 'iTunes has stopped working' kept appearing. Please help me.

What do you think is the problem of the iTunes installer or laptop? I'm confused with the instructions you gave me though.
