Q: My new iPad Pro 9.7 bluetooth doesn't find anything

For example, I am trying to connect it to the Apple Pencil that I bought with the earlier iPad Pro. I've disconnected it from the earlier iPad and have insured that it is fully charged. However, the new iPad can't seem to find it--or any of the other bluetooth devices scattered around the office.

I rebooted the iPad but that didn't change anything.

It just keeps looking for devices to mate with but finds none.

Help!

Since my post above, the iPad Pro 9.7 has paired with my iMac, but that's it.

Apple Pencil Problem Solved.

Plugging the pencil into the iPad physically indicated that the Pencil wanted to pair with the iPad. I said yes, and it is now connected.

could be your expectations which are off center

bluetooth has "roles" these are called bluetooth profiles, few devices if any support all profiles
here are the ones ios support iOS: Supported Bluetooth profiles - Apple Support
