Q: Your iCloud storage is almost full email

I checked my iPad and there are 4.0 GB available on my iCloud storage. Why do I receive these warning emails and how to get rid of them.

iPad 2, iOS 9.3.1

    Hi michaelfrompacific,

I understand you are receiving emails that your iCloud storage is full, but it appears that you have enough space when you look at the settings on your iPad.  Do you use services like iCloud Photo Library to keep your iPad and your PC in sync?  It may be possible that there is not enough room to upload photos or videos or backup your iPad.   Take a look at the resource below for more information:

iCloud: iCloud storage and backup overview

When you sign up for iCloud, you automatically get 5 GB of free storage. Your iCloud storage is used for iOS device backup, iCloud Drive, iCloud Photo Library, app data and documents stored in iCloud, and iCloud Mail (your @icloud.com email account).

If you run out of space, you can upgrade your storage. You can also remove stored items to make more space available.

    Manage your iCloud storage

Michael, if you need to have someone review your iCloud account activity, including the emails you've been receiving, contact the iCloud Support Team.

    Take care,
