Q: 2 international accts for icloud and itunes???

I understand that different accounts can coexist for icloud and itunes. But, can differente accounts from different countries coexist?

I really hope someone has the answe to this, it will be greatly apprecciated, ive been meditating on this issue all day.

I have my icloud and itunes id in the US. I am now living in Mexico and will be for a long bit. I created a mexican itunes account.

When I tried to activate apple music on itunes mexico it said "your device was previously linked to another acct, we'll change you now but you won't be able to switch accounts for 90 days" Ive never seen that before.  90 days!!! Thats a lot of days to go without my email account.

I'd like to keep my email, notes, etc, that I have on my US icloud account, but use the mexican itunes store at the same time, with mexican itunes gift cards.

iPad Air, iOS 9.3.1

The 90-day message refers to your Apple/iTunes ID, not your Apple/iCloud ID. When you sign into the iTunes & App Store with a different ID, it associates the device with that ID for 90 days before it will allow another ID to be associated. When a device is associated for a particular ID, then no other Apple ID can download past purchases, use Family Sharing, use iCloud Music Library (iTunes Match & Apple Music), or use Automatic Downloads for that 90 day period:

    Associated Device

This should have no effect on your iCloud account with the exception of your iCloud Storage. The new account that you created for iTunes will probably ask you to set up iCloud when you try to turn on Apple Music, so you will have to create an iCloud account for that ID. This will allow you to have the 5GB of free storage, so that you can use iCloud Music Library.

If you were to decide to sign on your US ID before the 90 days was up, then that ID would be able to make purchases and download those to the device, but you would not be able to listen to Apple Music with that ID until the 90 day period was up. Also, any purchases you make with the Mexican ID will not be accessible when you sign back on to the US ID. If you want any of the music that you purchase from the Mexican iTunes store to be accessible, you will have to add them to your iTunes Library on the computer that you sync with.

Thats a relief, thank you. Now that you mention family sharing. Does this scenario mean that I will be able to have apple music on  itunes mexico, but wont be able to use family sharing to share it, since family sharing works through icloud??

Well, it depends on where the people on your Family Sharing account have their iTunes accounts. If they are in the US, then you wouldn't be able to under any circumstances. Do you have an existing Family Sharing account or are you wanting to create one? Here is the support article on leaving or disbanding a Famiily Sharing group and the limitations (you can switch to a different Family only once per year):

Leave Family Sharing - Apple Support
