Q: Trackpad unusable after using Wacom Tablet

After using my Wacom Intros pro graphics tablet to edit images the trackpad becomes unusable. Even when not frozen it won't work properly without a restart. This happens everytime so it's becoming a bit of a drag.

I'm using a mid-2011 iMac and OSX 10.11.4.

Would like to know how this can be fixed.

The wacom tablet and pen are known causes of interference.   Move them well away from your machine and try again.   With no improvement, move them out of the room temporarily and try again.   You need to establish that this is the culprit.  Once it is proved you will need to find a way of working alonside the problem because you cannot blame the system for interference causes.

Thank you for the star gPhot.   Can you tell me what you found.   More and more people are finding interference via the Wacom equipment.   It would help us all if you could post a brief summary.

I was thanking you for taking the trouble to answer and for letting me know it's a known issue and not just me. Next time it happens I shall remove the wacom equipment to see if the trackpad returns to normal without needing a reboot.

I have this same problem, it's super annoying. I don't think its interference as a restart always fixes it (without moving the tablet anywhere). Restarting a lot these days
