Apr 25, 2016 5:27 PM in response to vuakvuby Demo,Is your iPad company owned? You don't need a passcode for updates, so you will need to provide some more information as to where you are seeing this requirement.

Apr 25, 2016 7:41 PM in response to Demoby babowa,Are you sure? On mine, Settings > iTunes & App store > "free downloads" > I have mine set to require a password; wouldn't app updates be part of that?
Having said that, I just realized the OP could also be referring to the Apple ID password on a Mac?

Apr 26, 2016 2:41 AM in response to babowaby Demo,I have no clue what is going on now. I could swear that this question was posted in the iPad forum yesterday. I do not follow the iTunes Store forum and I see this must have been relocated.
I assumed that the OP was speaking about iOS updates, not app updates. Passcode vs password makes the whole thing a little more confusing, IMO.

Apr 26, 2016 7:41 AM in response to Demoby babowa,Yes, well, I no longer do either - when I posted, the thread was in the "Using ASC" forum and, from the OP's question, it was not clear if s/he was referring to an iDevice or computer as some posters use the word "passcode" even on a Mac.
So, obviously, this was moved (again?) and there is nothing further for me unless the OP clarifies exactly what s/he is needing help with.
