Q: Every time I add a transition to my timeline a green screen pops up where the transition should be. Does ANYONE know how I can fix this issue or what may be causing it to do that?

It doesn't matter what type of transition I use. Every time I add a transition to my timeline and it's done rendering a green screen takes the place of the transition. How do I fix this issue or what could be causing this? If you look at the picture you'll see the transition is on the timeline but the image will no show.Screen Shot 2016-04-25 at 12.02.18 AM.png

    Hello,

May I know what version of FCPX you're using?
And you might have to Delete your Render files.

    1) Select your current Library

    2) Go to FILE > Delete generated Library Files

    3) Select > Delete Render FIles [ALL]

I had this problem when I am using FCPX 10.0.6, which is a way older version of FCPX.

    Hopefully this help

I'm using the latest version 10.2.3. I had an older version (10.1.3) and it was doing the same thing so I upgraded but it appears I'm having the same problem.

I will try and delete my render files and let you know how that works.

    Thanks

    Also, try deleting preferences.

It looks like this may be a problem with the graphics card. Your machine only has an integrated GPU and relatively old. I would not expect this to happen with every transition, though, so there is hope that a combination of deleting preferences and render files may work.
