Q: won't let me change my apple ID. want to use my iCloud email address but refuse .com

i want to change my email address on my Apple ID but won't let me change to my iCloud email address because it ends in *.com*

im in the middle of a problem report and the old email address i have is no longer contactable

can someone help please??
