Q: upgraded to ios 9 USB audio to car not working Uvo Infotainment System

Upgraded 3 out of 4 devices to ios 9, none of them will play Pandora (latest version) thru the Lightning to USB connected 2016 Kia Uvo infotainment system. My final device on ios 8.41 same version(latest version Sept 18,2015) of Pandora, plays fine, the screen goes black it has the connected logo and I can use Pandora. Occasionally the USB IPod connection in the infotainment system will not even pick up the iPod music. But it does work most of the time. With the advent of ios 9 apple installed a carplay settings in the settings. I would hate to think that apple is forcing people to use CarPlay only its an expensive brand new car. Hopefully its a bug. Anyone else with an in car audio "infotainment" system having this problem? I've seen reported issues on Mazda and Subaru websites as well.

iPhone 6, iOS 9, ios 9 iphone 6 & 5s, Air 2

This solved the problem I've had connecting my iPhone 6 to the audio system of my 2016 Acura RDX w/Advance Package via the USB or iPod inputs ever since I got the car on Christmas Eve 2015.  The dealer did not know about this "fix" the last time I asked.  I tried everything--or so I thought.  I'm one of those weirdos who don't download music files onto their phones.  I just listen to podcasts and streaming internet radio channels.  Everything worked fine via the Bluetooth and Aux inputs, but I know from prior experience with other cars that the Lightning-to-USB connection provides the highest quality audio.

At DaveyDutch's suggestion, I downloaded one album to my phone from iTunes.  That immediately solved the problem.  Now I can listen to everything from the phone via the RDX's iPod input.  The sound quality is indeed much better--glorious, in fact!  This car has a wonderful audio system, especially now that I can use the iPhone's Lightning-to-USB output!

    Thanks much, DaveyDutch!

I'm in the same boat. My iPhone that's still on iOS 7.1.2 connects just fine. NONE of my devices will connect using 9.3.2, at all.
