Q: Is there any way to watch a dvd on a MacBook?

I'm interested in a MacBook, and there's no dvd slot, so is there some way to digitize the dvds that we have so that we can watch them on this new MacBook? Or some accessory?

Apple sells their own Superdrive:

You can find less expensive external drives and reviews do not seem to rate the above one all that highly, particularly since it seems to only work on some model computers.
