Apr 28, 2016 11:30 AM in response to Loner Tby LapoDiLatta,i can see the windows partition in Finder and in the Startup disk section of System preferences. when i try booting into it it says "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". i do not have the option to boot into windows when holding the alt key as the computer starts up

Apr 28, 2016 1:56 PM in response to Loner Tby LapoDiLatta,i already followed the rest of the steps you posted on the other threads you linked. i can now choose windows when holding the alt key whilst starting up the computer but it fails to boot. i'm presented with a black screen with a blinking white line at the top left of the screen. that goes on forever. did i do something wrong?

Apr 29, 2016 2:30 AM in response to Loner Tby LapoDiLatta,i gave up. i urgently have to use windows so i backed up the files i needed and removed the partition via Boot Camp Assistant. i'll now proceed to install it again from scratch. thank you so much for your help

Apr 29, 2016 7:24 AM in response to Loner Tby LapoDiLatta,i tried performing a startup repair both manually using the command prompt and automatically with windows' startup repair tool but nothing seemed to fix the problem. i was always presented with the same black screen with the infinitely blinkig white line at the top left of the screen
