Q: How do I retrain my Siri remote to control the volume on my receiver?  It worked previously, but no longer works...

I have a Dennon receiver, which I used to be able to control the volume on using my Siri remote.  It recently stopped working and now when I try to "learn new device", it controls the TV and there's no option to retrain to my receiver.  How do I get the remote to work with my receiver again?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try restarting ATV, in the System menu. Not Reset, just simple Restart.

Check remote battery, in Remotes and Devices. Charge it if necessary.

Under Settings, Remotes and Devices, Volume Control, hit edit devices and click on any profle and delete it.

Once no profiles exist, click the Learn New Device and using the receiver remote train it to do volume control and name it Dennon.

FInally make sure you pick your new Dennon profile on the Select Volume Control page and not auto or TV via IR.
