Q: External Hard Drive

I too have similar problem, but my issue is I can view the external hard disk in disk utility but can't access it.. Did trouble shouting / repair / as well checked unchecked the drive in finder.. but no resolution

Clarification question - is the data missing from the internal hard drive or the external hard drive?

Issue is system not showing external hard disk in finder. Few checks been done, already...

1) Checked finder preference

2) Disk utility is reading external drive, no error

Issue earlier when plugged into usb, externad hardisk was visible. Now it's not thus unable to use the drive.
